Job Description
Road Freight Forwarder
Location: Felixstowe
Salary: circa. £30,000 - £34,000pa (DOE)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 9:00am-5:00pm
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics provider for an experienced Road Freight Forwarder to join their Felixstowe-based operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled freight professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of European trade lanes.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate groupage road freight movements across Europe.
Manage the complete door-to-door operation, including collection, transit, customs (where applicable), and delivery.
Maintain strong communication with hauliers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Monitor schedules, respond to delays, and implement contingency plans as required.
Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and documentation standards.
Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
Requirements:
Proven experience in road freight forwarding or transport operations, ideally within a European context.
In-depth knowledge of European trade lanes and associated transit times.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Proficiency in transport management systems is an advantage.
