European Operations Co-ordinator - Freight & Logistics

 Location: Selby, North Yorkshire 

£30K-£35K + Pension 

Mon-Fri (08:00-17:30)

We're working with a well-established, growing logistics business looking to appoint a confident and commercially aware European Operations Co?ordinator to join their team in Selby.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with decades of industry expertise, strong financial backing, and ongoing growth across international freight services.

The Opportunity

You'll play a key role in managing European road freight operations from start to finish, building strong client and supplier relationships while ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of shipments.

This role offers a great mix of operations, customer interaction, and commercial responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Managing European Road freight shipments from booking through to delivery
Building and developing strong client relationships to maximise business potential
Managing supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective and reliable service
Preparing and delivering accurate freight quotations (import & export)
Completing all operational admin including job files and booking confirmations
Handling customs clearance documentation post-Brexit
Monitoring shipments in transit and resolving any issues proactively
Preparing invoices and closing out job files efficiently
What We're Looking For

Minimum 3 years' experience in European road freight forwarding
Strong understanding of post-Brexit customs procedures
Proven ability to build and maintain client and supplier relationships
Confident negotiator with commercial awareness
Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
Strong numerical ability and experience quoting freight rates
Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
