European Road Freight Operator
Location: Stanford Le Hope, London Gateway
* Full-time, Permanent
* Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum. depending on experience.
Our client is a leading global logistics service provider offering road freight, airfreight, sea freight, rail freight, inland waterway, logistics, customs clearance, e-commerce and other value-added services.
A freight forwarding company who is looking to recruit a Road Freight Operator who has European Road Freight experience.
Job description
* Working within a department of 15 people, part of a wider team of 47.
* Handling European groupage services.
* Arranging movement of freight from origin to final destination, both international and national.
* Liaising with customers, overseas partners and suppliers.
Skills required:
* Must have a good understanding of European road freight, at least 2 years’ experience.
* Capable of manually calculating costs and charges.
* Understanding of taxable kilos.
* Good customer service skills.
* Experience with Customs paperwork.
* Ability to work in a team but also be self-sufficient.
