About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EV Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Hertford. As a key member of our electrical contracting business, you will lead the delivery of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure projects across commercial and residential sites. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end delivery of EV charging projects, from planning and design through to installation and commissioning.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, DNOs, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Conduct site surveys and risk assessments.
Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with current regulations and health & safety standards.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams.
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
Proven experience in managing electrical installation projects, ideally within the EV charging sector.
Strong understanding of EV charging technologies and infrastructure.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
Experience working with DNOs and ICPs.
Knowledge of OCPP and smart charging systems.
