The Event Manager will develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the event, driving sales, client retention, and operational efficiency through clear commercial objectives, financial oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. Description The successful Event Manager will have the following responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive growth plan for the event, focusing on enhancing sales, service delivery, and client satisfaction. This includes setting key commercial goals, defining strategies and tactics, assessing risks, identifying market opportunities, and establishing measurable KPIs. Lead the strategic direction and take ownership of client account retention and growth, driving performance to meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets. Maintain accurate tracking and analysis of departmental performance, identifying trends and streamlining the operating model to boost efficiency, encourage smarter work practices, and optimise resource allocation. Oversee financial forecasting, billing, and departmental processes, ensuring strict budget control and timely reconciliation of expenses. Ensure full compliance with company payment policies and procedures. Regularly evaluate pricing strategies and propose initiatives to drive revenue growth. Take a leadership role in refining and promoting the event's value proposition, incorporating innovative ideas and technologies to enhance its appeal. Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to manage marketing expenditures within the allocated budget. Partner with the CMO to shape and strengthen the visitor proposition, aiming to boost attendance and engagement. Work closely with the Head of Content to ensure delivery of a compelling and high-quality content program. Coordinate with the Operations Director to ensure operational costs are aligned with budget forecasts.Profile A successful Event Manager should have: Demonstrable experience in a similar commercial event role (selling, planning and delivering events within the events industry) Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting Excellent communication skills for working with vendors and stakeholders A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards.Job Offer Competitive salary - £40,000-£60,000 DOE 20 days of holiday leave per year Access to shower facilities, bike racks, and heated lockers Performance-related incentives and bonuses Government pension scheme with 5% employee and 3% employer contribution.
