Job Description

Are you ready to take centre stage in Crewe’s cultural life? We’re offering a chance to shape Crewe’s cultural calendar and leave a real legacy. This is a fixed term contract for a minimum of 12 months to cover maternity leave. We’re looking for an Events & Culture Manager to lead a vibrant calendar of events that bring our community together, celebrate our town, and create unforgettable moments. From festivals and civic commemorations to creative school projects and the magical Christmas lights switch-on, you’ll be the driving force behind some of Crewe’s biggest and brightest occasions. This is your chance to leave a visible mark on the town and be part of something people will remember for years. Qualifications, experience and other stuff you’ll need: * Good standard in secondary education with a minimum of 5 GCSE grades A-C (or equivalent), including English Language * IOSH Qualification or equivalent * Level 5 Events / Crowd Management Qualification or equivalent * A willingness to work flexibly; we may need you to work some weekends or evenings if there are special events on that need your attention (but you'll always get time off in lieu!) * Around 5 years experience in large event Management Salary & Benefits: * £39,862.00 per annum * 26 days holiday plus Bank Holidays * Generous Local Government pension scheme * Training and development opportunities * Flexible working opportunities (incl potential WFH)
