Mass Participation Events Officer (Part-time)
Location: Guildford (Hybrid - 60% office, 40% remote)
Salary: £24,480 - £29,355 FTE
Contract: Permanent

Are you a creative, driven fundraiser with a passion for inclusive play and community engagement?
I am looking for to speak with someone to lead exciting fundraising events - from marathons to skydives - that raise vital funds to support disabled children and young people.
About the role
This is a dynamic, people-focused role that puts you at the heart of community fundraising. You'll recruit, support and inspire participants to take part in challenge events, providing excellent stewardship and managing each stage of their journey - from sign-up to post-event celebration.
You'll also help shape campaigns, create promotional content, and collaborate with the wider team to achieve ambitious fundraising targets and grow supporter engagement.
Key responsibilities
Recruit and support participants for third-party challenge events (e.g. London Marathon, cycling events, skydives)
Deliver excellent supporter care through regular communication and guidance
Use design tools and email platforms to create engaging promotional content
Plan and deliver smaller celebratory or promotional events
Work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery
Maintain accurate records of income and engagement
Support the wider fundraising team on projects as required
About you
Seeking someone who can bring:
Experience in fundraising, supporter engagement, or event delivery
Experience in challenge event participation would be ideal even if you dont have the above
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Creativity and confidence using design tools (e.g. Canva)
A collaborative approach and a positive, can-do attitude
Awareness of inclusion and accessibility in community events
Flexibility to work evenings/weekends when required

Salary: £24,480 - £29,355 FTE
