Location: Manchester/ Hybrid
Job Description:
Our established client is seeking a full-time permanent Events Sound Technician to join their northern team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest professional standards for outdoor sound systems at various sporting events across the UK.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced sound technician to gain experience in the events industry, or a known event operations professional to gain experience with outdoor sound as a specialty.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up, operate, and pack down PA and RTS equipment efficiently to meet event schedules.
* Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues promptly, ensuring a seamless experience for organisers and participants.
* Communicate professionally and represent the company’s values at all times.
* Respond to participant inquiries and provide support aligned with company training.
* Attend required meetings, complete training, and meet assigned KPIs and event targets.
* Provide honest event feedback and report equipment issues to support improvement.
Skills:
* Strong attention to detail and time management
* Effective under pressure in fast-paced environments
* Adaptable, eager to learn, and tech-savvy (especially with PA systems)
* Clear communicator with customer service or hospitality experience
* Able to work independently and within a team
* Holds a valid license, willing to drive company van
