GSL Education Lincolnshire are currently seeking Exam Invigilators to support schools in Grantham during the busy exam season. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking part-time or ad-hoc work in a school environment, including university students, retired professionals, or anyone with availability during the day.
Your responsibilities will include:
Set up examination rooms by school and exam board guidelines.
Distribute and collect exam papers and other materials efficiently.
Supervise students during exams, ensuring minimal disruption and strict compliance with regulations.
Report any incidents, irregularities, or malpractice in line with school policies.
Support students by providing a calm and reassuring presence.
Who We’re Looking For:
We would love to hear from candidates who:
Previous Experience: Prior experience as an exam invigilator or in a school-based setting is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
A meticulous approach to following procedures and identifying any irregularities.
Ability to give clear instructions and maintain a calm and authoritative presence.
A high level of integrity, discretion, and punctuality.
Willingness to work morning and/or afternoon exam sessions, sometimes at short notice.
Flexible availability during school hours, particularly during the exam season.
Please keep in mind that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
