Experienced Architectural Technician (Team Leader)
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £35-45,000 DOE
An established RIBA Chartered Practice is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician with a substantial practical experience to join its team. The successful candidate will contribute to a growing portfolio of projects, particularly within the residential sector for national housebuilders and private developers. This is a hands-on role offering real responsibility and clear progression opportunities within a supportive, design-led environment. Candidates must be highly proficient in AutoCAD with a solid understanding of UK Building Regulations. While Revit experience is desirable, it is not essential. The ideal applicant will be self-motivated, technically capable, and confident in team collaboration and client interaction.

Responsibility from day one with support to growDaily Duties:
Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD
Ensure full compliance with UK Building Regulations and technical standards
Assist with the delivery and coordination of residential developments
Collaborate with architects, consultants, and contractors
Support project management from concept through to completionIdeal Candidate:
Substantial years' experience in a UK architectural practice
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience a bonus)
Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations
Accurate technical drawing and detailing skills
Self-motivated with strong communication and teamwork abilities
