Job Description
Job Title: Experienced Designer/Draughtsman
Salary: £45,000 + (DOE)
Location: Peterborough
Our client is a leading UK manufacturer of drainage products and covers, who supply several national distributors, particularly within the construction sector. They are currently looking for an experienced designer/draughtman to join their in-house design team.
Your main duties within this role will be designing and developing new/ existing products using a variety of different materials, mainly plastic.
Job Requirements:
* A degree or equivalent in engineering/manufacturing/design is desirable
* Must have a thorough understanding of Solid works
* Ideally have at least 5 years knowledge of designing using Polypropylene and other plastic based materials
* Have a good understanding on using FEA Simulation on steel and plastic fabrications.
* Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and clients in order to build strong relationships
* Computer literate and be able to produce high quality drawings as well supporting documents that align with the design brief.
* Practicing design in other materials, subject to customer orders
Hours:
Monday – Friday ( 08.30am – 5.00pm )Before You Apply
