Job Summary
We are seeking an Experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our clients dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bespoke fabrications, with the ability to work with different materials, including mild steel, stainless steel & sheet metal. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
* Fabricating parts according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy in measurements and assembly.
* Utilising hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
* Working on bespoke fabrication projects, starting from scratch and working till completion.
* Conducting MIG/TIG welding processes when required to as well.
* Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that may arise during fabrication.
Skills
* Experience with fabrication processes, including working with sheet metal.
* Proven time-served fabrication experience is a must.
* Strong engineering knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
* Proficient in TIG/MIG welding, stick welding, and other welding techniques.
* Competent in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication.
