Job Description
Roofing Labourers (Solar Panel Support) – Contract
Location: Colchester (CO3 / CO4)
Contract Duration: 1st September – End of November
Pay Rate: £13–£15 per hour (depending on experience)
Positions Available: 4
Unify Renewables is recruiting on behalf of a leading solar installation contractor for four Roofing Labourers to support a large-scale residential solar panel project in Colchester. This is a short-term contract with potential for extension, covering approximately 80 addresses.
You’ll be working alongside experienced solar installers, assisting with the removal and reinstallation of rooftop solar panels. This is a hands-on role suited to individuals with roofing or general labouring experience who are confident working at height.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the safe removal and reinstallation of solar panels
* Support solar installers with rooftop access and preparation
* Maintain site cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols
* Work efficiently across multiple residential addresses
Requirements
* Manual Handling and Working at Height awareness (certification preferred)
* CSCS card preferred but not essential
* Previous roofing or construction labouring experience
* Ability to commute reliably to sites across CO3 and CO4
* Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at height
