Job Description
Are you a confident, experienced teacher with a passion for supporting students' personal growth as well as their academic progress?
Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming secondary school in Sefton who are seeking an experienced classroom practitioner with strong pastoral experience to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who enjoys making a difference both inside and outside the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering engaging and effective lessons in your subject specialism
Providing pastoral support and guidance to students
Managing behaviour in a positive and proactive way
Working closely with the pastoral and safeguarding teams to promote student wellbeing
Supporting pupils with academic, social, and emotional challenges
Contributing to the wider school community through form tutor and enrichment responsibilities
Requirements:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
✅ Experience teaching in UK schools (secondary experience preferred)
✅ Strong pastoral background - e.g. form tutor, head of year, or safeguarding experience
✅ Confident classroom management and relationship-building skills
✅ Excellent communication, empathy, and resilience
✅ Must have the Right to Work in the UK
✅ Hold a Child-Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply through Tradewind Recruitment
