Experienced Vehicle Technician
Location: Lincoln (North Hykeham)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £25,000 - £45,000 per year (depending on experience)
We are recruiting on behalf of an established independent garage in the Lincoln area who are seeking skilled Vehicle Technicians to strengthen their professional team.
The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of maintenance, repair and diagnostic tasks to ensure customer vehicles are serviced to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles.
· Carry out mechanical repairs including clutches, cambelts, cam chains, suspension, exhausts, brakes and steering systems.
· Conduct diagnostic work and identify mechanical or electrical faults using appropriate tools and software.
· Undertake tyre fitting, balancing and alignment where required.
· Carry out MOT preparation work (if qualified).
· Work safely and efficiently to manufacturer and workshop standards.
· Provide accurate job cards and update service records.
· Support less experienced team members and share technical knowledge.
· Deliver excellent customer service by communicating findings and recommendations in a clear, professional manner.
· Work both independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
What We're Looking For
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in a workshop (10+ years for the senior-level role).
· Proven experience with diagnostics and fault finding.
· Solid knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems and repair techniques.
· Hybrid/EV experience advantageous (or willingness to undertake training).
· Full UK driving licence (essential).
· Ability to manage workload, prioritise jobs and work under pressure when required.

o £35,000 - £45,000 (for senior technicians with 10+ years' experience).
