Job Description

EYFS Graduate Teaching Assistant   Keen to build early-years’ experience before teacher training? Want to help young children secure the basics through play, routines, and clear next steps?   *** EYFS Graduate Teaching Assistant *** Immediate start until July 2026 *** £81 – £101 per day *** ‘Outstanding’ primary school, Ward of Hall Green *** Targeted support to children in EYFS   What you’ll do: Support the class teacher to deliver high-quality EYFS provision. Set up and rotate continuous provision, lead short adult-led activities (early phonics and number), and provide 1:1 support where needed. You’ll model language, encourage turn-taking and independence, and note quick observations to inform next steps.   Who you are: A calm, organised graduate who communicates clearly and enjoys working with young children. You follow guidance, keep routines consistent, and bring energy to purposeful play.   Requirements Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject. Communication – Clear, confident written and verbal skills. Enhanced DBS – Held already or willingness to obtain. Desire to work in education/with children – Strong interest in EYFS and early child development. Experience working with children – Nursery/school/mentoring/volunteering experience is desirable but not essential.  The School: An ‘Outstanding’ primary with a nurturing EYFS team, excellent resources and well-established routines. You’ll receive practical coaching and regular feedback so you can make impact quickly and build a strong foundation for ITT.   How to Apply Send your CV and include your availability, DBS status, and two referees if possible.
