We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher for a vibrant school in Solihull (B90) to start in January 2025.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and inspiring EYFS Teacher to lead a Reception class and create an exciting, child-centred learning environment. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, ensuring that the needs of all children are met, and fostering a nurturing and supportive classroom where children can thrive.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the EYFS curriculum and a passion for helping young children develop both academically and socially. You will work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure a positive and effective learning experience for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons based on the EYFS curriculum.
Create a stimulating, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Assess, track, and monitor the progress of children and provide regular feedback to parents.
Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and parents to support children's emotional and social development.
Support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting teaching strategies as required.
Encourage children's independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Promote positive behaviour and a sense of responsibility within the classroom.
Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a holistic approach to children's learning and development.
Key Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching within the EYFS setting.
A thorough understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment requirements.
Passionate about working with young children and dedicated to their development.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and engaging environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
