Smart Teachers are looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to support our EYFS team in one of our local schools in Kensington and Chelsea, delivering engaging learning experiences, promoting children’s development, and ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
About the role
In this role, you will support the lead teacher in planning and delivering a broad range of learning experiences that promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young children. You will work closely with children on a one-to-one or small group basis, assisting with classroom activities, play-based learning, and daily routines. The role also involves supporting the creation of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment, observing and recording children’s progress, and building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of EYFS Teaching Assistant you will:
Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting, preferably in EYFS.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships
Commitment to safeguarding, health, and safety in an educational environment.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Experience supporting children’s learning and development, preferably within the EYFS framework
Key responsibilities
As EYFS Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for:
Assist children with daily routines
Support the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging EYFS learning activities
Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
Support special educational needs (SEN) or additional learning needs where required.
