EYFS Teaching Assistant - Wood Street, Waltham Forest
Salary: £90-£100 per day
Start Date: January 2025
Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Tradewind Recruitment is pleased to support a welcoming Primary School in Wood Street, Waltham Forest, as they look to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant for January 2025. This full-time supply role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for early years education and a desire to contribute to a nurturing and creative learning environment.
The school is known for its strong community values and warm, inclusive atmosphere. With excellent resources and a dedicated Early Years team, the setting provides children with an engaging space to explore, develop their confidence, and enjoy purposeful learning from the very start of their school journey.
As the successful EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils through play-based activities, early literacy, and phonics, and by helping to create a positive classroom environment. You will work closely with the class teacher to prepare resources, encourage children's independence, and maintain a calm and supportive atmosphere throughout the school day.
This role would suit an experienced EYFS practitioner or a committed Teaching Assistant who is keen to grow their skills within a friendly, collaborative team. Strong communication, patience, and enthusiasm for working with young children are essential.
Ideally you will have:
Experience working within an EYFS classroom setting
Level 2 or 3 EYFS qualification
