Autism Specialist Primary (Nursery-KS1)
Full-time | Full academic year
A welcoming Autism-specific special school in Hackney is hiring a warm and enthusiastic SEN TA to support a non-verbal child in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This school offers a highly structured and sensory-friendly learning environment tailored to children with high-support needs.
Duties include:
Supporting 1:1 with communication tools like PECS or Makaton
Facilitating play-based, therapeutic learning sessions
Assisting with personal care and sensory regulation
Contributing to EHCP reviews and progress tracking
We are looking for:
EYFS or Nursery experience with SEND
A nurturing and patient attitude
Understanding of autism and sensory processing
