We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded preparatory school in South London. This is an exciting opportunity to support young learners at a key stage in their development, working within a nurturing and high-achieving environment.
Key Responsibilities for EYFS Teaching Assistant:
Support children in achieving key early learning goals, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development.
Encourage independence, curiosity, and active engagement in classroom activities.
Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Assist the class teacher with daily routines, behaviour management, and the implementation of creative and structured learning activities.
Provide tailored support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring their individual needs are met within an inclusive classroom environment.
Use clear and confident communication to aid understanding and interaction among pupils.The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with young children, ideally within an EYFS setting, and with supporting children with SEN.
Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, EYFS certification, or a degree in a related field (e.g., Early Childhood Studies, Psychology, Education).
Be warm, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for early years education.
Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.Graduates with relevant experience or an interest in pursuing a career in education are encouraged to apply.
