Job Description

We’re working with a lovely, close-knit primary school in Southport who are looking to welcome a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to their Reception class this September. The school prides itself on its nurturing environment and strong community feel. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and wants to play a key role in their early development. The role will involve: Supporting the class teacher in delivering fun, engaging activities across the EYFS curriculum Working with small groups and individual pupils to help them reach their potential Encouraging social development and emotional wellbeing through positive interaction Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and supportive classroom environment Assisting with observations and contributing to learning journals We’d love to hear from you if: You have experience working in an EYFS setting (either in a school or nursery) You hold a relevant qualification (ideally Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare) You’re kind, reliable and patient, with a real passion for early years education You’re confident working as part of a team and able to use your initiative when needed This position is offered through Teaching Personnel, who provide access to professional development, a dedicated consultant, and a range of school opportunities across the region. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
