EYFS Teaching Assistant (1:1 / SEN & Personal Care Support)
Start Date: September 2025
Location: South Nottingham
Contract Type: Full-time Mon-Fri 8.30 am-4 pm
Contract Term: Supply
Salary: £90 -£110 per day
We are supporting a school that is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive EYFS Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including personal care, within the Early Years setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a young child's educational journey from September 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a child with SEN, ensuring they feel safe, included, and engaged.
Assist with daily routines, including feeding, toileting, and personal care needs.
Implement strategies outlined in the child's EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals.
Record observations and contribute to progress reviews.
Foster a positive, supportive, and nurturing environment.
The Successful Candidate Will:
Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
Have experience supporting children with additional needs and/or providing personal care.
Show empathy, patience, and a commitment to inclusive education.
Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
Be confident using strategies to manage behaviour and support learning.
