Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: M5, Salford, Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £83.40 – £100.00 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time
About the Role:
Support children in Nursery and Reception as they settle into the school environment
Deliver 1:1 and small group learning sessions, especially for pupils with additional or special educational needs
Assist the class teacher and SENCO in implementing targeted support and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Foster a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment for all pupils
Encourage independence, confidence, and social development
Help with personal care routines and classroom transitions
Track and record pupil progress, contributing to planning and observations
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children in EYFS or early childhood settings
A calm, positive, and flexible approach to supporting young children
Confidence supporting children with SEND (including speech & language, autism, or developmental delay)
Relevant qualification in education, childcare, or health & social care is desirable
A full enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply through Smile Education)
