EYFS Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (Autism & Speech & Language Needs)
Location: Wallasey
Start Date: After May Half Term
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary until 22nd July 2025
Pay: £106 per day
Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with a caring and inclusive primary school in Wallasey who are seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism and Speech and Language needs.
This is a full-time, temporary role beginning after the May Half Term, continuing until the end of the academic year on 22nd July 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a pupil in EYFS with Autism and communication needs
Assist with speech and language development through targeted strategies
Support the child's engagement, behaviour, and social interaction
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals
Maintain a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children with Autism and/or speech and language needs
Understanding of EYFS development and strategies to support early learning
Calm, patient and adaptable approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SPENCER CLARKE GROUP

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
