Job Description

I’m working with a well-established specialist contractor within the metal roofing and façade sector, who are looking to bring in an experienced Façade Estimator to strengthen their commercial team.

This is a great opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality roofing, cladding and façade packages across a wide range of projects.

The role will be based out of their Waltham Abbey office, with flexibility for some hybrid working once settled in.

The Role

I’m looking for someone who can take ownership of the full estimating process, from enquiry through to submission.

You’ll be:

  * Preparing detailed tenders for façade and cladding packages (including Tier 1 contractors)

  * Carrying out accurate take-offs and producing scope mark-ups using Bluebeam

  * Pricing labour, materials, prelims, overheads and profit

  * Reviewing specifications, drawings and programme constraints

  * Issuing enquiries and liaising with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing

  * Supporting value engineering options where possible

  * Attending client meetings and negotiating tenders

  * Supporting handover into commercial and delivery teams once projects are secured

Projects can range from smaller packages through to multi-million-pound façade schemes.

What I’m Looking For

I’m ideally looking to speak with estimators who have solid experience across façade and cladding systems, including:

  * Rainscreen cladding (aluminium, composite, timber, cementitious, brick slip, terracotta)

  * SFS framing systems (Metsec or similar)

  * Cavity barriers (Siderise, Tenmat, Rockwool etc.)

  * Strong understanding of non-combustible systems and current regulations

You’ll also need to be confident working from drawings/specs, comfortable using Excel and ideally have experience with Bluebeam.

Just as important, you’ll be someone who can build relationships with clients and suppliers and represent the business professionally.
