A leading UK-based fabrication company, specialising in high-quality welded assemblies for the Aerospace and Defence sectors, is seeking a skilled and proactive Fabrications Team Leader. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced production environment, ideal for someone with a strong background in welding and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Motivate and guide fabricators and welders to meet daily production goals.
Training & Development: Mentor team members in welding techniques and safety standards.
Production Oversight: Manage workflow, allocate labour, and resolve bottlenecks.
Technical Expertise: Interpret engineering drawings and uphold welding quality standards.
Compliance & Safety: Promote a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to H&S policies.
Continuous Improvement: Drive efficiency through Lean Manufacturing and process enhancements.What We're Looking For
Essential:
Proven leadership experience in a fabrication or welding environment.
Strong knowledge of MIG/TIG welding and fabrication techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance.Desirable:
Experience in Aerospace, Defence, or regulated sectors.
Familiarity with CNC laser cutting and press brake operations.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, EN 15085, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949.What's on Offer
