Job Description
Welder/Fabricator – Dundee – £18.50 per hour + Overtime + Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
We’re looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join a reputable and long-established steel fabrication company based in Dundee. This is a workshop-based role focused on producing both structural and secondary steel components for the construction industry, offering long-term career potential and strong overtime availability.
Position Details:

Type: Temp-to-Perm
*
Standard Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:15 PM (39 hours)
*
Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (5 hours paid at overtime rate)
What’s on Offer:

Competitive hourly rate of £18.50

Regular overtime available, paid at 1.5x your standard rate
*
Pathway to permanent employment

Immediate start available for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities:
*
Perform MIG welding on staircases, handrails, and other structural or secondary steel components
*
Interpret and follow technical fabrication drawings accurately
*
Operate overhead cranes when needed
*
Maintain high workmanship standards in a fast-paced workshop environment
What You’ll Need:
*
Strong experience in MIG welding, particularly with 1mm solid wire
*
Ability to read and work from detailed fabrication drawings
*
Confidence working with structural steel
*
Experience operating overhead cranes is desirable, though not essential
