About the Role
As a Fabricator at NOV Plymouth, you will support our manufacturing team in daily production tasks using advanced composite fabrication machinery. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals looking to start or enhance their careers in fabrication. You will be responsible for assembling high-quality components, interpreting engineering drawings, and operating various tools and equipment. Working Hours: 40 hours per week // Monday to Thursday from 7am to 5.30pm

Key Responsibilities
* Assist in executing daily fabrication tasks under supervision
* Assemble component parts to a high standard of accuracy and quality
* Operate hand and power tools proficiently
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
* Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards
* Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
* Minimize material waste through efficient usage
* Comply with FGS Plymouth quality and safety systems
* Accurately record work for traceability and quality assurance
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience in metal fabrication processes such as cutting, welding, grinding, and fitting
* Ability to read and understand technical schematics and engineering drawings
* Skilled in using measuring instruments (e.g., tape measures, callipers)
* Familiarity with machinery like press brakes, guillotines, and rollers
* Physically capable of manual handling and demanding work environments
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
* Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
* Capable of both independent and collaborative work
* Effective time management and task prioritization
