Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in metal fabrication and welding, with the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in using both hand and power tools. The Metal Worker will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components to meet project specifications.
Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain power tools and hand tools for metalworking tasks.
* Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
* Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including MIG and/or TIG welding,
* Cut, shape, and bend sheet metal as required for different projects.
* Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Proven experience in metalworking, including fabrication and assembly of metal components.
* Proficient in the use of power tools, hand tools, and MIG welding equipment.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
* Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to metalwork.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Previous experience with stick welding is highly desirable but not essential.
