Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join a busy workshop in Forfar, working on the fabrication of skid frames and rolled steel joists. The role involves profiling and welding joists by hand using plasma cutter and oxy-propane equipment. You will be responsible for producing high-quality welds to specification and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will hold valid MIG/Flux Core welder codes to fillet level, with 3G/4G or 6G qualifications preferred. Attention to detail, ability to read technical drawings, and experience working with heavy steel are essential.
Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until end of November (possible extension)
Hours: 40 hrs/week, Mon–Thurs 07:00–17:00 (optional OT Fridays)
Pay: £24.50/hr basic (1.4x and 1.8x OT)
Payment: CIS/Ltd basisImmediate start available for the right candidate.
