Job Description
Position: Welder Fabricator
Location: Barnsley
Hours: Monday to Friday, day shifts
Pay Rate: £14 - £18 p/h DOE
Overtime at a higher rate
We are seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our skilled team at a leading steel fabrication specialist based in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of bespoke metal fabrication projects in a well-equipped workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Fabricate and assemble mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components
Perform high-quality MIG welding (TIG welding experience advantageous)
Operate workshop equipment such as saws, drills, and press brakes
Ensure all work meets quality and safety standardsRequirements:
Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator in a fabrication or engineering environment
Strong MIG and TIG welding skills and ability to work from technical drawings
Good understanding of health and safety practices
Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team
