Timekeeping and attendance. 3. A can do attitude and a team player attitude.. Position Fabricator Welder Permanent - 3 month probation period. Experience required 5 plus years experience required. Age group 30 plus. PPE required Own Safety shoes and overalls. All other PPE Provided. Hours of work Monday to Thursday 8am - 16.30 Friday 7am - 3pm A can do attitude. Time plus half after 40 hours per week. Job description A fabricator welder combines the skills of metal fabrication and welding to create or repair metal structures and products. They work with raw materials to cut, shape, and assemble metal pieces, often using welding to join them together. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and specifications. Key Responsibilities: * Fabrication: Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components using various tools and machinery, including shears, lathes, presses, and computer-controlled equipment. * Welding: Joining metal parts using different welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick) to create strong and durable bonds. * Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and understanding technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and welding. * Material Preparation: Preparing metal for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and setting up components. * Quality Control: Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. * Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and ensuring the safe operation of welding and fabrication equipment. * Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations and procedures in the workshop. Essential Skills: * Welding Skills: Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick). * Metal Fabrication Skills: Experience with cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components. * Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Equipment Operation: Familiarity with a range of fabrication and welding equipment. * Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues during the fabrication and welding process. * Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks. * Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks. * Mathematical Skills: Understanding measurements and calculations related to metal fabrication
