Astute's Power Team is partnering with a leading service company to recruit a Field Service Engineer Fabricator and Welder for its sites mainly in Essex and South East.
This role comes with a salary up to £42,000 plus benefits including company van, overtime and benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Field Service Engineer Fabricator / Welder role
Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor you will:
Engineering Drawings: Proficient in interpreting engineering manufacturing drawings for parts and components production
Welding Expertise: Extensive experience in MIG/MAG welding, ensuring high standards
Precision: Calculating dimensions and tolerances using mathematical skills and measuring tools
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail and adherence to health and safety standards
Professionalism: Execute all tasks with professional conduct
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Time Served Apprenticeship in a Mechanical Engineering field
Experience working in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant or paper mill.
As this is a field based role, a full UK driving licence is a necessity
Personal skills
The Field Service Fabricator / Welder role would suit someone who is:
Experience: Proficient in MIG/MAG welding with the ability to work independently from engineering drawings
Communication: Clear, concise, and logical communication skills, both verbal and written
Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Fitness: Capable of handling the physical demands of the job
Flexibility: A positive and adaptable approach to work
