Job Description
We are seeking a Fabricator / Welder to join our workshop team. The role is more fabrication-focused than welding, with some MIG and TIG welding involved depending on project requirements. Work is varied and contract-based, ranging from structural steel and heavy fabrications to stainless steel projects.
We are open to candidates with different levels of experience — from skilled, experienced fabricators to those with less experience looking to develop.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out fabrication of steel and stainless steel structures, frames, and assemblies.
*
Perform MIG and TIG welding as required by each contract (to a competent standard).
*
Work from engineering drawings to cut, shape, form, and assemble metal parts.
*
Operate fabrication equipment (press brakes, guillotines, rollers, saws, grinders, etc.).
*
Produce heavy fabrications and ensure work is structurally sound and fit for purpose.
*
Check own work for accuracy, quality, and finish.
*
Work safely, maintaining good workshop housekeeping and correct use of PPE.
*
Adapt to varying contract requirements, working flexibly across different types of fabrication projects.
Skills & Experience
*
Strong background in fabrication; welding (MIG/TIG) experience desirable but not the main focus.
*
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
*
Skilled in working with structural steel, stainless steel, and heavy fabrications.
*
Competence with workshop tools and fabrication machinery.
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
*
