Facade Designer - Revit

Cardiff (Hybrid) | £30,000-£40,000 DOE | Permanent

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Façade Designer to join a growing external envelope specialist working across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments throughout the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a new and expanding team, contributing to complex façade packages from concept through to construction.

Key Duties

Produce detailed façade design drawings and technical details.
Develop construction, fabrication, and installation drawings.
Design façade systems including rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, glazing systems, and SFS structures.
Liaise with architects, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
Ensure designs comply with UK building regulations, fire safety requirements, and project specifications.
Coordinate with structural engineers regarding load paths, bracketry, and support systems.
Support project delivery through design reviews and technical meetings.
Assist in resolving technical design issues during installation.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards including BS EN 13830 and EN (phone number removed).

Requirements

Experience working as a Façade Designer, Cladding Designer, or Envelope Designer.
Strong knowledge of façade systems including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing systems, and SFS framing.
Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
Understanding of façade build-ups, thermal performance, and fire regulations.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
