Façade Designer

Location: London (within 1 hour commute)

Salary: £58,000 – £70,000 Package (DOE)

The Opportunity

This is a unique and career-defining role for a Façade Engineer or Senior Façade Engineer to work directly alongside the future Director, helping to grow and shape the business.

With the current owner planning a gradual retirement over the next 3-4 years, this role offers:

Exposure to both design and consultancy work

The Role

You will play a key role across both façade design and investigative consultancy projects, including:

Design Responsibilities

Provide conceptual advice on façade system selection and suitability
Develop façade performance specifications and drawings
Carry out thermal, acoustic, solar and embodied carbon assessments
Undertake structural calculations for frames and glazing systems
Coordinate façade design with fire, security and other disciplines
Support tender-stage documentation and Employer’s Requirements
Consultancy / Survey Responsibilities

Assist with façade inspections and condition surveys
Support defect investigations and forensic analysis
Contribute to remedial design and refurbishment strategies
About You

Façade design experience
Background working for a façade consultancy or specialist contractor
Strong technical understanding of façade systems
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
Interest in developing broader consultancy and survey experience
Desirable:

Previous experience of survey work is desirable but not essential as guidance will be provided
Interest in business development and client engagement
