Job Description
We are looking for:
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities and Grounds Operative to ensure our facilities and grounds are kept clean, tidy, and hazard-free, creating a safe and efficient working environment for all staff.
The Position:
* Keep the yard area and all site facilities clean and hazard-free, following company procedures
* Perform daily/weekly cleaning of designated area, including:
* Office block surroundings
* Backyard, canopy and farm grading areas
* Loading bays
* Warehouses 1-4 and internal stores 5-17
* Fan house, plant rooms, walk gantry and C/A passageways
* Other key site areas (e.g. canteen, HR passageways, phone box)
* Safely dispose of waste materials and ensure proper storage of tools and equipment
* Maintain and operate the ride-on cleaning vehicle, reporting faults promptly
* Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately to management
* Adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards
* Carry out other reasonable duties as required to support smooth site operations
You should have:
We're looking for someone who is:
* Comfortable with manual/physical work (including some heavy lifting)
* Practical, reliable, and enjoys hands-on work.
* Positive, with a strong can-do attitude
* Organised, with excellent attention to detail
* Basic mechanical/maintenance knowledge (desirable)
