Facilities Assistant - Flexible Supply Work (Primary Schools - Sheffield Area)
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Contract: Supply / As-needed basis
Are you a dependable and proactive Facilities Assistant seeking flexible work within local primary schools?
We're partnering with a well-regarded Multi-Academy Trust to recruit Facilities Assistants to support a network of primary schools across Sheffield. This is a great opportunity for hands-on individuals who take pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming school environments.
About the Role:
As a Facilities Assistant, you'll be an essential part of the daily operations team, helping to ensure that each school site runs smoothly and efficiently. Your duties will include:
Opening and locking up school buildings (key holding responsibilities)
Performing minor repairs and routine maintenance
Keeping the premises clean, secure, and safe
Responding to site issues and maintenance requests
Assisting with health and safety checks and compliance tasks
Supporting the site team and school staff with day-to-day operations
What We're Looking For:
Experience in facilities, caretaking, or maintenance (school-based experience is a plus but not essential)
Good understanding of health & safety and site security
Willingness to work flexibly across different primary school sites in Sheffield
Reliable, punctual, and proactive attitude
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
