Facilities Engineer - Reading - 6 months - £19.07 PH
This role is to work as a Facilities team member at Reading, to maintain laboratories and administration facilities.
The engineer will help to manage and maintain the services and plant, handling breakdowns and manage contractors. We also get involved in fit outs and renovating and repurposing space. The vacancy is to grow the business so for the right candidates may become permanent.
Responsibilities are to be able to performs handy-person duties such as basic plumbing, erecting shelving and furniture assemble and decorating, offer front line support to the business, helping with breakdown and emergency situations, capable of remedial actions to ensure the labs work effectively and safely, drive a Company van when required to deliver goods to and from sites.
Candidates will have Carpentry and joinery skills, plumbing/HVAC, knowledge or experience of Building Management Systems, a driving licence and some IT skill including Word and Excel, HVAC diagnostics would be a distinct advantage, mechanical maintenance, strong communication skills and organisational skills.
