We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the delivery of all planned and reactive maintenance across an estate. You will ensure building systems are safe, efficient, and fully compliant with legal and statutory requirements. This role involves providing technical leadership, managing maintenance contracts, and driving high standards of service through effective planning, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven facilities management experience who can commit to the full duration of the contract.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Management:
Oversee all planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance.
Manage technical aspects of projects including refurbishments, upgrades, and replacements.
Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain statutory registers and ensure audit readiness using internal systems.
Allocate and monitor workflow tasks for the Estates team, contractors, and other parties, ensuring timely completion and full documentation.
Contract & Performance Management:
Manage maintenance contracts and monitor contractor performance against SLAs and KPIs.
Develop and implement SLAs and KPIs to maintain service standards.
Reporting & Analysis:
Provide regular reports on space utilisation, workflow, energy performance, carbon management, and contractor performance.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Deliver technical leadership and maintain effective communication with stakeholders to meet their requirements.
Emergency Planning:
Oversee emergency planning and response, including incident management and business continuity.Skills & Experience Required
Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance processes.
Proven experience managing maintenance contracts and compliance registers.
Proficiency in workflow and reporting systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead emergency planning and business continuity initiatives.
IOSH Managing Safety and leadership/management certification (desirable)
