We're seeking a skilled Facilities Manager with outstanding customer service and technical expertise to oversee daily operations at a prestigious library in the heart of Brighton. You'll be responsible for contractor supervision, building performance, and ensuring an exceptional experience for service users.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate all facilities activities, including planned and reactive maintenance
Oversee contractors and service partners to ensure seamless site operations
Quickly resolve building-related issues using technical knowledge
Engage confidently with library stakeholders and visitors
Uphold safety, compliance, and environmental standards🌟 What We're Looking For:
Experience in facilities management, preferably within public or heritage buildings
Strong technical understanding of modern systems (e.g. HVAC, BMS, security)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Confident contractor management and multitasking under pressure
Enhanced DBS required (must be registered on the Update Service or issued within the last 3 months)
