About the Role
Based at the historic RAF College Cranwell, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the site remains operational, compliant, and well-maintained. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Managing planned and reactive maintenance
Overseeing small-scale works (under £25k)
Coordinating internal teams and external contractors
Ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard
Driving a strong health and safety culture across all activities
Using CAFM systems (Maximo or similar) to manage and monitor progress
Supporting compliance tasks such as legionella, asbestos, and working-at-height responsibilitiesYou’ll play a crucial part in hitting service KPIs, improving first-time fix rates, and embedding safe working practices across the site.
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need a formal HNC or HND to apply — we value real-world experience and a proactive attitude just as much. Ideally, you’ll bring:
Hands-on experience in building or mechanical maintenance
Familiarity with planned and reactive works
Some supervisory or team leadership background
A good understanding of CAFM or work management systems
Strong organisation, communication, and time management skills
