Facilities Manager — Position Overview:
Oversee all aspects of the firm’s facilities operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant management of the premises
Manage leases, rent, rates, maintenance, and repairs across the firm’s buildings
Coordinate refurbishments, space planning, and office moves
Oversee service contracts for catering, cleaning, and off-site file storage
Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and best practices
Manage budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
Liaise with stakeholders, suppliers, and staff to ensure a seamless facilities service
Lead the general office team and manage relationships with contractors
Develop and implement sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives
Requirements of the Facilities Manager:
Previous experience in a professional services or legal environment (essential)
Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Proven ability to manage budgets and negotiate supplier contracts
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and relevant legislation
Ability to motivate and manage a small team effectively
Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented approach
