Job Description
A vacancy has arisen within Site Services for a Facility Supervisor in the Dounreay Cementation Plant (DCP). The purpose of the post is to supervise operations and maintenance.
Main Responsibilities:
To supervise the work within the complex, ensuring it is carried out safely and in accordance with procedures
Review/prepare safe system of work documentation
Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained in the complex
Participate in work scope and hazard reviews, work scheduling and interactions
Report and investigate abnormal conditions, unusual occurrences and failures and take appropriate action to protect personnel and the environment as defined in PRC 0001
Perform the responsibilities of Management Authorisations relevant to post (Permit to Work Issuer; Radiation
Protection Supervisor; Lift Supervisor; Radioactive Materials coordinator; Risk Assessor; Project Supervisor; FCA Building Warden)
Manage staff as a line managerAptitudes and Experience:
Relevant site knowledge and experience
Relevant plant or industrial operation experience in a highly regulated environment
Able to demonstrate good organisational and planning skills
Sound interpersonal and communication skills
A positive approach, self-motivated, assertive and ability to use initiative
