Factory Manager
The Factory Manager will be responsible for delivering performance across the Site around the Production process, responsible for the setting of objectives for the Production Team. Ensuring operational effectiveness is maximised, company and site KPI’s are met, maintaining high technical, quality and Welfare standards through the development of people, processes and systems.
As a key member of the site Senior Leadership Team, will champion a cross functional approach to solutions and lead any Culture initiatives.
The role holder will identify and lead improvement projects along with setting medium term plans aligned to the long-term strategy of the company and will be instrumental in creating a sustainable work environment across the various functions on site.

Duties
  * Ensure your area of responsibility delivers improved production efficiencies, namely output, quality, yield, labour utilisation, packaging and utilities and ensure factory variances are achieved within the specific area.
  * Ensure KPI data is used throughout the team, using SIC to drive and monitor performance. Providing weekly reports on performance.
  * Manage the process across the shifts to ensure that all functions of the business are able to perform. Providing clarity on the prioritising workloads for the team where there may be a conflict on time or resources between the functions.
  * Set out clear ways of working for the Production Team to ensure a consistent approach across all Departments and Shifts.
  * Devise appropriate plans and ensure resources are implemented to deliver peak production activity requirements.
  * Monitor and maintain all customer service levels, both internal and external
  * Provide input, support and guidance on projects and improvements within the factory, taking the Lead on various initiatives.
  * Culture & values: Role-model our Values, set clear expectations, celebrate success, and guide behaviours fairly in partnership with People & L&D.
  * Capability & growth: Hold regular 1:1s/reviews, create IDPs, and ensure mandatory/role training is planned, completed and recorded.
  * Team performance: Align goals and standards, and promote cross-functional teamwork for a cohesive, high-performing shift.
  * Workforce planning: Forecast skills, manage
  * Be the Lead on Continuous Improvement Projects, guiding team members through the process.
  * Embed a range of continuous improvement and lean techniques within the production team to deliver best in class operational excellence which can be measured through the financial performance of the factory and in line with Profit Improvement Plans.
Skills Required
  * Previous experience of managing a team in a FMCG environment
  * Knowledge and understanding of food safety legislation
  * Strong influencing skills
  * Ability to drive continuous improvement performance whilst leading others
  * Self- motivated
  * HACCP experience and or qualification.
  * IOSHH qualification or equivalent experience
