Job Description
Established manufacturing organisation seeks experienced Factory Operatives for immediate start. Permanent Contracts offered, varying shifts available, competitive rates of pay and progression opportunities provided. As Factory Operative, your role will be one of or include a variety of duties such as Grinding, Polishing, Metal Fabrication, Labouring and Machine Operation. Previous experience within a similar role in a manufacturing environment is essential and candidates must be comfortable working in a heavily industrial environment.
Factory Operative Duties:
* Operate Machines: Use various grinding, polishing machines to shape and finish metal according to specifications
* Inspect Workpieces: Regularly check finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
* Adjust Machinery: Set up and adjust machines
* Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and lubricating parts to ensure optimal performance
* Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment while operating heavy machinery
* To assist in other areas of the shop floor if required, to ensure the timely fulfilment of customer contracts
* To work as a team to ensure that production schedules are met and customer contracts fulfilled
Skills/Experience required for the role of Factory Operative:
* Previous experience within a similar role and manufacturing environment (ideally aerospace/automotive)
* Experience of Metal Fabrication and/or associated processes (Grinding, Polishing, Deburring etc.)
* High attention to detail
* Safety awareness
* Flexible in attitude – prepared to undertake any associated tasks as required
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours of Work: Various Shifts Available
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
Contract: Permanent
