Families Engagement Worker  Oldham (hybrid working with office, community and home visits) £27,013.56 - £29,552.02 per annum Full-time, Permanent Job Description: Are you passionate about helping people overcome challenges and achieve positive change? This is an excellent opportunity to join an early intervention and prevention service, supporting families, adults and households before issues escalate and require more intensive support. As an Engagement Worker, you will manage a caseload of individuals and families, carrying out assessments and delivering tailored support plans that build confidence, resilience and independence. Working alongside partner agencies and local services, you will help people access the right support at the right time, enabling them to achieve sustainable outcomes. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to make a genuine difference within local communities. The role involves: Managing a caseload of families, adults and households requiring early intervention support. Completing assessments and developing personalised support plans. Delivering one-to-one support and guidance to address a range of personal, social and practical challenges. Building positive and trusting relationships with service users and their families. Supporting individuals to access specialist services including housing, debt advice, mental health support and parenting programmes. Working collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to achieve positive outcomes. Maintaining accurate records using electronic case management systems. Monitoring progress and reviewing support plans to ensure long-term positive change. Undertaking community and home visits as required. Promoting independence, resilience and self-confidence through strengths-based interventions.You’ll need: Experience managing a caseload within a support, community, housing, social care or related setting. Experience completing assessments and developing support plans. Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage children, young people and adults. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience using electronic recording or case management systems. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multi-agency team. A good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. A passion for early intervention and empowering people to make positive changes in their lives. Flexibility to work across office, community and home-based settings.
