Job Description
A highly regarded full-service law firm based in Central London is seeking a Family Solicitor (2-4 PQE) to join its leading Family department. This is an exciting opportunity for a capable and committed Family Solicitor to work alongside a team of seven experienced partners on complex and high-profile family law matters.
The successful Family Solicitor will advise a diverse client base, both domestic and international, on the full range of family law issues. The team has a reputation for excellence in all areas of family law, including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, private children law, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. As a Family Solicitor, you will be given early responsibility, direct client contact, and the chance to develop your career within a collaborative and well-supported environment.
The Family Solicitor's role
This Family Solicitor position will involve working on a broad caseload, including:
Divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships
Financial disputes, including complex assets and international elements
Private law children matters, including relocation and contact disputes
Cohabitation agreements and disputes
Nuptial agreements
Emergency injunctions and enforcement proceedings
You will work closely with partners and senior solicitors and be supported in building your own caseload and reputation in the field. Strong drafting and advocacy skills are essential, as is the ability to manage client relationships with empathy and discretion.
The Family Solicitor
To be considered for this Family Solicitor role, you should:
Be 2-4 years PQE with experience in a well-regarded family law team
Have a solid academic background and be UK-qualified
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and client care skills
Be commercially aware and proactive in your approach
Have experience working on HNW or international family law matters (desirable)
Membership of Resolution or a similar professional body would be advantageous
