Social Worker Family Support Team
Monmouthshire
Pay rate £38.43 per hour Umbrella company
A locum opportunity has arisen within Monmouthshire Social Services' Family Support and Protection Team. This is fantastic opportunity to join a high performing Local Authority offering a friendly and supportive team environment. This position is primarily based at Usk but home working is encouraged. Contract will run for an initial 3-6 month contract. A car driver with access to a car is required. You will be covering cases in Usk, Monmouth and Abergavenny. Pay rate is up to £38.43 per hour umbrella company or £30.50 plus holidays

Flexible working conditionsRole & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the assessment and planning for children, young people and their families who are considered to require Social Care involvement to ensure their health and well-being and protection from neglect and abuse
You will be required to complete assessments and progress plans that evidence an improvement in the welfare of children and young people within a time frame that is appropriate for the child/young person. In cases
Responsible for preparation of written evidence and the progression of the case to legal proceedings
Your case load will consist of cases that require a high level of statutory intervention including Child Protection, Private and Public law cases
Responsible for adoption orders where requiredTo apply for this role, you will need to hold -
A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
A relevant Social Work Qualification
Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
3 Years of referencing
